Directories run on a shorthand nobody explains, because everyone already using them knows it. These pages are the explanation — one question each, written plainly, no padding.
Four of them are for anyone reading listings for the first time. Incall and outcall covers the two words every listing uses. The vocabulary covers the rest of it — references, deposits, travel fees, post counts. Agency or independent explains what changes when a house handles the booking rather than the provider. And massage parlours are a genuinely different category with different rules, which is why they are listed separately here.
Two are about the parts people get wrong. Screening is the largest single source of friction between providers and the people contacting them, and nearly all of it comes from one misunderstanding. Reading a review is about weighing one rather than finding one — there is a review of almost everybody, and most of them tell you nothing.
Where in the GTA is for the specific problem of a region that covers seven thousand square kilometres under one word. And getting listed is for providers and agencies rather than members: what a listing gets you, what the paid tiers do, and what it costs.
None of these is a substitute for the board itself, which is the older half of this site and where the actual answers to most questions are.
