The listings above and the Toronto sections of the review board both cover that whole footprint, which is worth knowing before you narrow a search: a listing marked Toronto might be a twenty minute drive from you or an hour and a half, depending which side of the 401 you are both on.

The GTA, broken down

The City of Toronto proper is where the density is. Downtown, the Entertainment District, King West, Queen West, Yorkville, Liberty Village, Leslieville and The Beaches are all inside a fairly small area, all served by the subway or a short streetcar ride, and that is where most of the central listings sit. Yorkville and the downtown hotel strip skew to the higher end of the market; the west end runs younger.

North York is the other centre of gravity. The stretch of Yonge between Sheppard and Finch, Willowdale, and the industrial pockets around Keele and Steeles hold most of the GTA's licensed massage establishments. If you are browsing the Massage section rather than the escort listings, this is the part of the map most of them are in.

Scarborough and the east are more spread out and much more car-dependent — Kennedy, Markham Road, and up towards Sheppard East. Etobicoke and the west run along the Queensway and Dundas West towards the airport, which is why a cluster of listings there mention hotel availability near Pearson.

Mississauga is large enough to be its own market rather than a suburb of Toronto's, centred on Square One with a separate and quieter scene in Port Credit and Streetsville. Markham and Richmond Hill the same — Unionville and the Highway 7 corridor have their own regulars who rarely come downtown. Vaughan, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington are thinner but real, and providers there often travel rather than host.

Travel time is the thing people underestimate. The 401 and the DVP at rush hour can turn a twenty kilometre trip into an hour, which is why outcall fees in the GTA are usually banded by distance rather than being flat. If you are outside the core it is worth filtering by your own area first instead of by the city.

Incall, outcall, and the rest of the vocabulary

Incall means the provider hosts, at a location she arranges. Outcall means she travels to you, normally to a hotel or a private residence, and usually carries a travel fee outside her home area. Most listings state one, the other, or both, and the filter above lets you narrow to whichever suits you.

Independent means she runs her own listing and answers her own messages. Agency means a house manages her bookings, advertising and sometimes her schedule; agency listings on TruReview carry the house name under her own so you can tell at a glance. Neither is better than the other — agencies tend to be more predictable about scheduling and independents about continuity — but they are different experiences and it is fair to know which you are looking at.

Massage establishment or parlour is a separate category with its own board section, its own etiquette and, in most of the GTA, its own municipal licensing. We list those separately from escort listings rather than mixing them, because people looking for one are rarely looking for the other.

Screening, and why you will be asked

Most established providers screen before they confirm anything. That usually means some combination of your real first name, a working phone number, references from other providers you have seen, or in some cases employment verification — a LinkedIn profile, a work email, something that ties the person to a name.

It is worth being clear about what screening is for. She is meeting a stranger, usually alone, often at a location she has told nobody about. Screening is the only tool she has for knowing who is going to be at the door. It is not a credit check and it is not curiosity, and a provider who screens carefully is generally a provider who takes the rest of it seriously too.

The reasonable response is to answer straightforwardly or to move on. What is not reasonable is arguing about it, negotiating it down, or pushing for an exception because you are in a hurry. A refusal to screen anyone at all is the single most common thing behind a bad experience in either direction, and it comes up constantly in the board's Toronto sections.

What makes a review worth reading

The board is small and honest about it. Everything on it is first-hand and written by a member, which means the useful skill is weighing a review rather than finding one. Three things separate a review that tells you something from one that does not.

Recency. A glowing review from four years ago describes a business that may not exist in the same form. People change locations, agencies, schedules and prices. Sort by date before you sort by score.

The reviewer's history. A member with two hundred posts and reviews spread across several cities is a different proposition from an account created last Tuesday whose only post is a rave. We do not delete the second kind — everybody has a first review — but the post count is displayed for a reason.

Specificity. A review that describes the actual shape of a booking — how communication went, whether the listing matched the person, whether the location was what was described, whether the time was honoured — is worth ten that say she was lovely. Vagueness is the tell for both fabricated positives and score-settling negatives.

How a listing gets onto TruReview

Every listing on this page was submitted by the provider or her agency and checked by hand before it went up. We are not a scrape of other boards, and nothing appears here because a bot found it somewhere else.

Listing is free for now while we build the directory out. Independents get a directory listing; agencies and licensed massage establishments get a directory listing and a section on the review board. VIP and Promoted placement is the paid tier and is marked as such on the card, so a listing that is higher up because it was paid for says so rather than pretending to be a ranking.
